About Dr. Allison Jameson

PT, DPT, CF-L1, Cert. DN

Dr. Jameson grew up in western North Carolina where she gained her love for health and fitness, athletics, and adventure with backgrounds in team sports, cycling, running, swimming and strength training. She is still an avid athlete, who, in her spare time enjoys running, weight training, functional fitness, traveling with her husband, playing with her silly dogs, and experimental baking.

Dr. Jameson attended Appalachian State University for undergraduate studies, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion in 2011. She went on to attend Western Carolina University where she graduated with her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2015.

Dr. Jameson has received her certification in Dry Needling through AAMT. She has continued education training through the Institute of Clinical Excellence through intensive courses such as Lumbar Spine Management, Extremity Management, Rehab for the Injured Runner, and Essentials for the Fitness Athlete. She has additional training through Active Life Professional in Comprehensive Movement Analysis. She is also a level-1 CrossFit trainer.

Dr. Jameson’s specialties include:  Running-related injuries, Fitness Athletes / CrossFit, Overuse Injuries such as tendinopathies, Persistent Pain, Back Pain, Neck Pain, Pelvic floor retraining, Endurance Athletes, Orthopedics

Dr. Jameson has gained experience working in a variety of outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings across North Carolina. Through these experiences she has developed an understanding of the extreme importance of building a resilient body for tackling all of life’s demands. Her goal as a physical therapist is to bridge the gap between the healthcare setting and fitness setting by helping others reach their personal best, whether that is the desire be pain-free while playing with their kids, to achieve the mobility and strength needed to PR an olympic lift, or to run a marathon without injury. There are many aspects to living an uninhibited life and Dr. Jameson uses the latest evidence-based physical therapy interventions to help individuals achieve their optimal physical performance.
